A distressing factor about the shifting ethnicity is the prospective blow to the structure of nurture of the workers. Hispanic workers have runty educational qualifications of any major ethnic group. Thus, unless Hispanic youth and immigrants raise their educational attainment, their growing presence in the job market will unhorse the educational base of the labor force at the very time when the demand for skills is continuing to increase. But the growing share of Asians in the labor force will moderate this trend, since their educational attainment is higher than the rest of the workforce (Lerman and Schmidt, n.d).
